It is with a heavy heart that we are addressing the untimely passing of our beloved Mikaben, an incredible human being with tremendous charisma and positivity. A true icon and a pioneer in the music industry.
Mikaben was not only a talented singer, but also a music producer/composer, a songwriter, a vocal coach, and an actor. Along with his many talents, Mika was above all, a kind and generous man, a loving father, a devoted husband and a well-rounded family man. We are truly grateful for all the beautiful moments he shared with us in life and through his music. He will be profoundly missed and his legacy will live on forever. Thank you, Mikaben, for everything.
We’d like to acknowledge Mikaben’s devoted fan base for their endless love and support. As official representatives of his estate, we want to express our gratitude for the support that we have received from everyone around the world who has been honoring Mika. We are touched by each gesture, by the posting and streaming of his songs, by the many artists creating drawings, murals and more, and by everyone holding vigils and gathering in his memory.
In order to honor him, we will continue to update his platform to cherish his memory, and we will share ways to support causes dear to him.
In response to the outpouring of generosity shown by the public, and with our endorsement, Mika’s family has already set up a link to accept donations towards his legacy. Donated funds will be allocated essentially as such: The majority of the funds will go to a memorial fund to help cover expenses that Mika’s three children will incur, which will include primary education, college education, medical expenses, and savings. Ti Souf, the non-profit Mika founded to provide support to the people of Haiti, will also receive a portion.
Mika’s funeral will take place first in Miami, Florida on Sunday november 6th. As for our friends in Haiti, there will be a mass. The details will be communicated soon to allow all who wish to come and pay tribute to him.
